When I was a child and still today. I was raised in a small town in Northern Michigan where the roots of ssd where and are planted.

With a childhod freind, and the founding member of the ssd art collective I grew up playing music in bands, writing poetry, photographing, and painting. I am not classically trained, nor is my childhod frined, in any of these arts. What this has ment for our creation is a simple concept that has held through to all of the sister and partner projects.

Everything that has been birthed out of this 20 year friendship has eveolved around the simple idea that you do or die. Action rather then wishing. Do it yourself, or die, no one else will. This "our damn selves" idea is very much alive in the work you see here and the various other projects that ssd is involved in.

We all stand under this mantra of putting art first and names never. And, doing whatever it takes to get that art done and seen.

The additions of member 1 was a half moon turning into a full. My concept was realized with member 1's talent. We, like the rest of the ssd art collectie, chose to do it our damn selves. We thank you very very much, and hope you enjoy.
