RESPONSE TESTING

During the testing period, the response time on the site was observed. All the pages loaded quickly and efficiently. Some of the image loading time, was a little long. The Guess RAcing team was contacted in order to see about getting smaller sized images. In addition, other dynamically created pages were evaluated, such as the Shopping Cart and Checkout. The average time elapsed for all pages was recorded at 1.0 second. According to Thomas A. Powell in Web Design, a time period of this length suggests that the user will be relatively engaged and not easily distracted from what is occurring on the screen.

Tested Response Time at http://www.iwebtool.com and had the following results:

07 guessracing.web143.discountasp.net/Team.aspx 11.82 KB 0.5 seconds 0.04 seconds
Usability Testing
In addition to evaluating the site responsiveness from a development perspective, we verbally sampled users. The users all agreed that the site was well layed out and easy to navigate. Although some users where not familiar with Midget Racing, they understood where to go in order to see the schedule.
