About Me

Hi and thank you for visiting the Hacktionary site! My name is Michael Lang and I am the founder and creator of the Hacktionary Dictionary. I am a graduate student in the College of Computing & Digital Media at DePaul University completing my Masters in Computer, Information and Network Security. I obtained my Bachelors in Computer Information Systems in May 2003 from Prairie View A&M University. My research interests are Web 2.0/Social Media, E-Commerce Security, Data Mining, Fraud Prevention, and Authentication Systems as related to online banking, openID and Web 2.0. My advisor is Dr. Corin Pitcher from University of Oxford, UK.

The idea to develop this web application came while taking a course this summer called Building Internet Applications. The final project in the course was to design and build a small website which utilizes ASP.Net web controls and a Access Database. Again, thank you for visiting the site and feel free to contact me with any questions or issues.
