Beliefs/Values

SwiftAid.org is guided by its core beliefs in access, authentication, and efficiency.

Access

SwiftAid.org is committed to making aid resources highly accessible to victims of disaster. Throughout disaster areas we mobilize M*A*S*H units that provide immediate material care. We distribute foods only that are ready to eat or otherwise easily prepared. Our online application for long-term aid is readily accessible through the Internet. Where possible, we bring Internet access to the field.

Authentication

We believe that benevolent resources are a sacred trust and that distribution should be based on reliable need validation, victim verification, and provider accreditation. SwiftAid.org builds this foundation through a rigorous yet compassionate screening process. We expend great care to authenticate recipients of charitable aid and thus to ensure that donated resources meet genuine needs. We partner with only reputable agencies, organizations, and businesses in order to guarantee the best relief service possible and to shield those who use our services from unscrupulous predators. Our screening process is aimed to reduce or eliminate fraud, waste, and abuse by authenticating need and accrediting aid sources.

Efficiency

Those who have suffered sudden, catastrophic loss need timely help. SwiftAid.org is committed to offering a streamlined, easily accessible process by which victims of disaster can both apply for and quickly recieve the help they need. SwiftAid.org has built an infrastructure that is agile and organized. We are able to mobilize our material resources quickly so that when disaster strikes, victims are not left stranded, waiting for the wheels of bureaucracy to reach them.

SwiftAid.org also accomplishes efficiency by its provision of just-in-time material donations. Rather than warehouse supplies, we collect donations for distribution at the time of emergency. This lowers costs and makes more financial donations available for grant distribution.
